What’s burning bright can’t be extinguished here, but the main character wants to make very sure something's clear. And he says,
Why have I been so long lost up until you said, "I’ve wanted to be your one-and-only for so long now. Won’t you run away with me?" I’ve got no reason to change what I’ve believe in. Tell me once, no need to say it all again. She said, “Let’s go.” Now I really want to know who she is. She had me when she said hello.
Time now to write a new story from another time. The sequel will come. I know it’s just another one to tell us all she can’t be mine.
